Project Details:

Built as a platform for creating a series of learning objects this project takes a great deal into it's conceptulization and execution. From the creation of a user interface that can be updated, adapted and extended to the selection of media delivery and visual esthetics this application meets a broad range of requirements and considerations.

Considerations:

Expandability was a key benchmark for this prototype. It needed to be able to be updated with new procedures, tools, steps, language preferences for text and voice over, graphical overlays and video.

Another major consideration was statistics tracking. The ability to see what user's are doing inside the application, where they are making mistakes, and when they need assistance is key in providing instructors an evaluation tool that will help with their instruction. We handled this by integrating Google Analytics with specific steps inside the flash application. This solution provides online report generation and charting to help visualize application and student performance.

Iinstructional methodology was another area where this application excels. We built a solution that allows a user change the level of difficulty when they need it (multi-modal instruction). They can toggle a guide with visual hinting and text/verbal instruction on and off when they need help.

The combination of video, multi-modal instruction, support materials, and tracking features enables this application to be a significant tool to augment current instructional practices.
